What is the opportunity?

RBC's Office of the US CIO is responsible for the oversight of technology supporting the firm's Combined US Operations (CUSO). The CUSO includes RBC Capital Markets, Wealth Management, City National Bank, RBC Bank (US), and Global Asset Management within the US. Technology groups supporting the CUSO business lines, both directly and indirectly are included in the purview of the Office of the US CIO.

As a US Technology Governance Associate, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing aspects of the US Technology Operating Committee (TOC), the IT Operations Subcommittee, and the Senior Leadership Team forum, including reviewing agenda, collating and preparing presentation materials, organizing guest speakers, documenting meeting minutes and following up on action items with owners.

What will you do?
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal partners and stakeholders across CUSO and the enterprise.
  • Work with the US TOC Secretary, US Head of IT Governance & Operations, to set meeting agenda and manage the forward calendar. This includes identifying topics for discussion that enable adequate governance and oversight of US IT, prioritizing items based on importance or urgency, allocating time frames for speakers and clarifying the desired outcomes for each topic.
  • Collaborate with relevant colleagues across the enterprise to manage US TOC, IT Operations Subcommittee and SLT meeting expectations, including reporting cadence, scope and presentation materials.
  • Manage US TOC action items and issues list, including sending reminders, communicating expectations, identifying roadblocks, and escalating blockers to relevant parties.
  • Responsible for organization, storage, and management of all SLT forum and US TOC related documentation including committee charters, presentation materials, meeting minutes and action items log.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • 5+ years of technology-focused project management experience, or 5+ years in banking/financial services industry within a Technology organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills across program and executive leadership levels.
  • Ability to effectively track and prioritize work and respond promptly to time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Commitment to excellence and high-quality delivery.


Nice-to-have
  • Understanding of IT governance and IT governance-enabling frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL.
  • Understanding of US Banking Regulations.
