Job DescriptionAbout the role:We are seeking a
Senior Marketing Manager, to support the growth of our Identification and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (IDAST) portfolio in the United States. This role will be responsible for executing marketing strategies, supporting product launches, and collaborating closely with commercial, global marketing, and cross-functional teams to drive adoption of our IDAST solutions, including the BD Phoenix™ Automated Microbiology System.
The ideal candidate combines strong marketing fundamentals with a passion for healthcare and diagnostics, bringing the ability to translate customer insights into effective marketing programs that support business growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Marketing - Support the development and execution of annual marketing plans for the US IDAST portfolio.
- Assist in driving market adoption and commercial success of the IDAST portfolio
- Support the development and execution of pricing and commercial strategies that drive market adoption, profitability, and growth of the US IDAST portfolio.
- Support the development of value propositions, messaging, and positioning tailored to laboratory and healthcare customers.
- Monitor local market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities.
Commercial & Customer Engagement- Partner with Sales Operations and commercial leadership to identify and prioritize target accounts, developing strategies that increase adoption of the IDAST portfolio through instrument upgrades, competitive conversions, and new customer acquisition.
- Participate in customer visits, industry conferences, and professional meetings to gather market insights and strengthen customer relationships.
- Provide marketing support for key accounts, regional activities, and national initiatives.
Marketing Programs & Execution- Support the execution of product launch campaigns, educational programs, webinars, and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with digital marketing and communications teams to create compelling content and campaigns.
- Track marketing performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with Global Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of business objectives.
- Partner with global marketing teams to adapt globally developed sales enablement tools, presentations, customer-facing materials, and marketing resources for the U.S. market, ensuring local relevance, consistent messaging, and effective commercial execution.
- Partner with the Commercial Training team to develop and deliver product training that effectively communicates product features, customer benefits, and competitive positioning, ensuring field teams are equipped to support commercial objectives.
QualificationsRequired Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, product management, sales, or commercial roles within life sciences, diagnostics, medical devices, or healthcare.t.
- Experience developing value propositions, messaging, and positioning
- Experience engaging directly with customers through customer visits, industry conferences, and professional meetings to gather market insights, understand customer needs, to identify growth opportunities.
- Experience in supporting the development and execution of pricing and commercial strategies
- Experience collaborating with sales teams and supporting commercial initiatives.
- Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Must reside in the United States and be able to travel approximately 30%.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in microbiology, infectious diseases, tuberculosis diagnostics, or laboratory medicine.
- Knowledge of diagnostic laboratories, public health institutions, and healthcare systems.
- Experience supporting product launches within healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences.
- MBA or Master's degree in a related field.

Salary Range Information$105,100.00 - $168,100.00 USD Annual
