Job Brief

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the company's strategic marketing vision to support profitable growth across all Ellab business lines. This role leads the development of integrated marketing strategies that strengthen brand awareness, generate qualified sales opportunities, support product commercialization, and position Ellab as the industry leader in validation, monitoring, and calibration.

Working closely with the President, Director of Commercial Operations, Business Development, Sales, Product Management, and Operations, the Director of Marketing ensures marketing initiatives are aligned with corporate objectives and deliver measurable business results.

The goal of the Director of Marketing is to build a scalable marketing organization that enhances Ellab's market position, supports commercial growth, strengthens customer engagement, and generates measurable demand while maintaining a consistent global brand.

Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Business Growth
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Ellab's annual business objectives and long-term growth plans
  • Develop annual marketing plans, budgets, campaign calendars, and other measurable performance objectives.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer trends, and competitive positioning to support strategic decision making.
  • Establish marketing priorities that support revenue growth across all business lines.

Brand Leadership
  • Own and protect the Ellab brand across all internal and external communications.
  • Ensure consistent messaging, visual identity, and value proposition across ass marketing channels.
  • Develop corporate messaging that differentiates Ellab within the Industry.
  • Strengthen employer branding and corporate reputation.

Demand Generation & Digital Marketing
  • Develop integrated marketing campaigns that generate qualified leads and increase brand awareness.
  • Provide input into digital marketing initiatives including website strategy, search engine optimization, advertising, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
  • Manage marketing automation programs and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Continuously improve website Performance, digital engagement, and conversion rates.

Product Marketing.
  • Partner with leadership to develop product positioning, messaging, launch strategies, and go-to market plans.
  • Develop customer focused content highlighting Ellab's technical capabilities and solutions.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs and market opportunities.

Sales Enablement
  • Partner with Commercial Operations and Sales leadership to support revenue generation initiatives.
  • Develop marketing collateral, sales presentations, customer case studies, technical literature.
  • Support trade shows, conferences, customer events, webinars, and other educational programs.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives effectively support business development and customer acquisition efforts.

Marketing Analytics & Performance.
  • Establish key marketing performance indicators and regularly report campaign effectiveness.
  • Analyze website traffic, lead generation, conversion metrics, customer engagement, and ROI.
  • Utilize marketing analytics to optimize campaigns and improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Present marketing performance and strategic recommendations to leadership.

Leadership & Organizational Development.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor marketing team while fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish departmental objectives, performance expectations, and professional development plans.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and other partners.
  • Oversee marketing budgets and ensure responsible allocation of resources.

Cross Functional Leadership
  • Collaborate with Commercial Operations to ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and commercial execution.
  • Partner with Services, Operations, and Sales to improve customer experience and market responsiveness.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives and contribute to executive leadership discussions regarding growth opportunities.

Requirements
  • BS/MS in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience including 5+ years in leadership.
  • Experience developing and executing B2B marketing strategies within life sciences, industrial technology, scientific instrumentation, healthcare or related industry.
  • Demonstrated success leading demand generation, digital marketing, product marketing, and brand management activities.
  • Experience supporting technical sales organization through sales enablement and customer engagement programs.
  • Strong understanding of marketing platforms, website analytics, CRM systems, and automation tools.
  • Budget management and ROI measuring experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical ability with demonstrated experience utilizing data to drive business directions.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across multiple departments and executive leadership.
  • Ability to travel as business needs required (about 25%)
