Full Job Description
Einride is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our US legal team. In this role, you'll drive commercial transactions and navigate complex legal matters at the cutting edge of technology and logistics. You will advise on commercial contracts, support regulatory and compliance strategy, and contribute to key corporate initiatives. Working both independently and as part of our global legal team, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at managing competing priorities under tight deadlines.

You will:
  • Drive commercial contracting: Structure, draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements, strategic partnerships, NDAs, and standard commercial contracts.
  • Support securities compliance & governance: Assist with public company governance, disclosure obligations, regulatory filings, and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Optimize legal operations: Build and refine scalable internal legal processes to improve operational speed, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Provide cross-functional support: Assist with broad legal activities and strategic initiatives as the needs of the business evolve.
  • Report to leadership: Work directly under the guidance of the Head of Legal, US.

We expect you to:
  • Hold active credentials: Have a J.D. degree (or equivalent) and maintain active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Bring proven experience: Have 4+ years of corporate or transactional law experience within a law firm, in-house legal department, or a mix of both.
  • Demonstrate core legal expertise: Have a strong foundation in commercial contracting, transactional negotiations, and general corporate matters.
  • Balance risk and reality: Weigh legal risk effectively against practical, business-driven outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry Expertise: Direct experience in freight, transportation, logistics, energy, or other regulated industries.
  • Cutting-Edge Tech Exposure: Experience working with autonomous technology, AI/ML, or hardware/infrastructure companies.
  • Securities Background: Prior experience navigating corporate securities law and public company reporting requirements.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Austin, TX (we will consider outstanding remote candidates located anywhere in the U.S.). You will be part of a truly diverse, high performing team with a common passion for sustainability and making things happen in an innovative way. We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible since selection and interviews are held continually.
