We are seeking an experienced Unix/Linux Administrator for a full-time, 1-year contract starting August 10, 2026, with a possible 1-year extension. This is a hybrid position requiring 12 days on-site (in Ottawa) per month, with potential on-call and overtime requirements. Candidates must possess Secret security clearance or have resided in Canada for a minimum of 10 years and be eligible to obtain Secret clearance.
The successful candidate will support enterprise Solaris 11 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9 environments, including system administration, maintenance, patching, hardening, installation, configuration, and performance tuning. The role requires hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible playbook development, UNIX system administration, scripting, hardware support, DevOps environments, and CI/CD pipeline development and management. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with RHCE, Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Network Automation, or Red Hat OpenSCAP experience.
