We are seeking an experienced VMware Virtualization Infrastructure Specialist for a full-time, 1-year contract starting August 10, 2026. This is a hybrid position requiring 12 days on-site (In Ottawa) per month, with participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation and potential overtime requirements. Candidates must possess a Secret security clearance or have resided in Canada for a minimum of 10 years and be eligible to obtain Secret clearance.
The successful candidate will support and maintain enterprise VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Suite, HCX, and SDDC Manager, while also providing support for Azure IaaS infrastructure and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions. Responsibilities include virtual infrastructure administration, automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) development, platform monitoring, performance tuning, patching and lifecycle management, capacity planning, and cybersecurity compliance. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience with enterprise VMware platforms, including vSphere and VCF, as well as 3 years of experience with Azure IaaS, Ansible Tower, and Azure DevOps. Strong experience with PowerShell and/or Python scripting, Ansible, Terraform, automation workflows, and supporting large-scale 24/7 production environments is required. Additional consideration will be given to candidates holding ITIL, TOGAF, or Agile certifications.
