Unit Manager Registered Nurse (RN) | Full-Time | Day Shift

Starting Pay: $85,000/year | Racine, WI

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership: Conduct regular nursing rounds, perform individualized assessments, and oversee complex treatment plans as a premier Unit Manager Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Staff Oversight & Coaching: Directly supervise, evaluate, and mentor unit nursing staff, ensuring accurate medication distribution, proper clinical procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coverage & On-Call: Participate in an on-call rotation by phone every 3rd weekend to support unit continuity.
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families to manage continuity of care and address unit needs.
  • Unit Operations: Maintain "survey-ready" EHR documentation, manage unit resources efficiently, and uphold HIPAA and facility protocols.


Qualifications for Success
  • License: Must hold an active, unrestricted Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Required Experience: Prior Unit Manager or nursing leadership experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
  • Preferred Experience: Inpatient or palliative care background.
  • Skills: Strong critical thinking, proficient computer skills (EHR), and the ability to work independently while leading a collaborative team.
