Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and loss control teams to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions.
Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with producers, seeking a balance of growth and profitability.
Stay updated on inland marine market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes.
Conduct field visits as needed to assess exposures and develop market intelligence.
Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate documentation for all accounts.

Full Job Description

Position Overview:
As an Inland Marine Underwriter at Starr Insurance Companies, you will be responsible for underwriting and servicing a portfolio of inland marine business, including builder’s risk, contractor’s equipment, motor truck cargo, and various specialized property coverage. You will drive profitable growth by developing new business opportunities, analyzing and selecting risks, and nurturing relationships with agents, brokers, and clients in the Chicago market.
