Responsibilities:- Sonographic procedures according to department standards in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provides patient education in the form of written material and/or verbal explanation prior to, during and subsequent to the procedure in order to reduce the patient's anxiety and enhance his/her comfort zone with respect to tolerance of the procedures
- Produces examinations that meet image quality standards in accordance with department protocols.
- Submits images for physician interpretation.
- Verifies accuracy of: patient demographic information, pertinent clinical diagnosis, and required technical results. Data must be entered accurately and in a timely fashion to provide optimal patient care.
- Verifies all technical data entry components are complete prior to the end of shift.
- Monitors stock supplies in imagining rooms to assure their regular availability by timely reordering, rotation of dated items, and by maintenance of a clean and orderly environment.
- Reports incidences of equipment failure.
- Actively supports organizational changes.
- Adheres to institutional safety procedures as described in the institutional safety program.
- Actively participates in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Works closely with nurses and physicians to achieve positive outcomes and optimal patient flow.
- Performs job functions while modeling service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and / or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- ARDMS certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- One to three years of ultrasound experience preferred
- Comfortable working between our Naperville and Lisle offices

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
