Position Summary
• Responsible for performing a variety of duties in relation to imaging patients and ensuring smooth operations of the Ultrasound department while providing appropriate levels of patient care and customer service.

Education
• Associates degree in Radiology/Ultrasound/Ultrasound or Certificate Program in Radiology/Ultrasound

Licenses and Certification
  • Licenses and Certification (Excluding Breast Center locations):
  • 1 of the following
  • RDMS registered or registry eligible
  • Registry eligible must have proof of passing ARDMS SPI exam prior to start date and passing score on any one corresponding specialty exam within six months of hire
  • ARRT (S) or ARRT (VS) registered
  • CCI registered
  • BLS
  • Must be vascular certified with RVT, RVS, ARRT(VS), CCI within one year of hire


  • Licenses and Certifications (Breast Center locations only):
  • 1 of the following
  • RDMS registered or registry eligible
  • Registry eligible must have proof of passing ARDMS SPI exam prior to start date and passing score on any one corresponding specialty exam within six months of hire
  • ARRT (BS) or ARRT (M) registered - Registered in Mammography within 6 months
  • BLS
  • IEMA - Radiography

Role Specific Responsibilities
• Performs ultrasound and radiography exams as appropriate
• Utilizes PACS and EMR systems.
• Maintain appropriate IV/Contrast competency.
• Follows established protocols and procedures for proper patient position, exposure control, and radiation protection.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all involved in the patient care process.
• Cleans and inspects departmental equipment
• Cleans and stocks Imaging rooms.
