Description Ultrasound Technologist - Breast
A Brief Overview Ensures efficient daily operations of Breast Imaging Ultrasound exams and procedures. Active in performing QC requirements as deemed by regulatory agencies. Accepts other duties as assigned.
What you will do- Performs all ultrasound techniques and examinations, including breast, soft tissue of axilla and breast interventional procedures
- Positions and transfers patients in accordance to facility patient safety policy requirements
- Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis
- Assists physician in administering procedure findings
- Consults with patient to obtain a complete clinical history and obtains pertinent clinical data
- Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients
- Secures and maintains supplies, linen, and other items as needed. Maintains an orderly, safe and clean working environment
- Enters all appropriate information into RIS and Mammography databases
- Ensures all images are archived on PACS system
- Assists in allocating personnel to satisfy workload demands in the most efficient and effective manner possible
- Performs scheduled QA/QC testing as outlined by regulatory agencies
- Prioritizes daily work schedule to most effectively process patients requiring ultrasound services
- Communicates equipment problems or concerns to Senior Tech or Manager
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education Qualifications- Associate's Degree 2 Year college degree Required
Experience Qualifications- 1-3 years Minimum two years of experience specific to Women's Imaging Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Working clinical experience in breast imaging as staff ultrasound technologist (Medium proficiency)
- Correlating with mammographic findings (Medium proficiency)
- Must be able to maintain communication with staff members (Medium proficiency)
- Center management and physicians (Medium proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications- ARDMS certification required Upon Hire Required
- Advanced breast certification preferred Preferred
- BLS-American Heart Association Upon Hire Required

Pay Range: $49.05/hour - $57.70/hour
