Full Job Description
The UI/UX Sr Manager owns the day-to-day execution of Blue Nile's on-site experience, working alongside the Manager, UI/UX & Site Maintenance as one of two dedicated resources on the Experience and Infrastructure pillars. This role provides the additional UI/UX capacity required to run the site redesign workstream at pace: translating strategy and heuristic feedback into shipped prototypes, wireframes, and production-ready UI, while keeping standard ticket flow, landing-page builds, and catalog data health moving in parallel.

This is a hands-on, build-and-ship role. The Sr. Director sets direction on conversion priorities and feature feasibility; this role owns the craft, the iteration cycles, and the working relationship with Good Growth (GG) on execution beyond current team capacity.

Core Scope
  • Site Redesign & Prototyping: Build and iterate on high-fidelity prototypes and mockups for active redesign workstreams (e.g., navigation restructure, DYO diamond-path UX), incorporating heuristic and analytics-driven feedback across multiple review cycles.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: Partner with the Sr. Director and Digital Merchandising Manager on landing page and PDP experimentation aimed at reducing friction and improving funnel-stage progression.
  • UI/UX Ticket Management: Own the standard ticket queue for on-site updates, landing-page builds, and marketing site maintenance, routed through the eCommerce team's change-governance process.
  • Catalog Data Health: Support UI-facing catalog data integrity in partnership with Digital Merchandising, ensuring product presentation stays accurate as assortment and feeds change.
  • Design System Discipline: Maintain consistency in components, patterns, and visual language across new builds and legacy pages during the redesign transition.
  • Agency Coordination: Work directly with Good Growth (GG) to scope and hand off technical execution beyond current team capacity, reviewing GG output for design and UX fidelity before release.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with the Manager, UI/UX & Site Maintenance (peer), Digital Merchandising, and SEO & GEO Strategy to ensure UI changes support schema integrity, feed health, and AI-crawler accessibility.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • On-time delivery of site redesign milestones against the named workstream roadmap.
  • Quantifiable improvements in funnel-stage progression, bounce reduction, and conversion rate on redesigned pages and flows.
  • Ticket queue health: cycle time and throughput on standard UI/UX and landing-page requests.
  • Zero unauthorized site changes; full adherence to change-governance review process.
  • Design consistency and QA pass rate across GG-executed builds.

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years in UI/UX, product design, or on-site experience roles within e-commerce, ideally in premium retail or a high-consideration purchase category.
  • Strong prototyping skills (Figma or equivalent) and comfort translating strategy and heuristic feedback into shippable design iterations quickly.
  • Working knowledge of CRO principles, funnel analysis, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Experience managing a ticket-based workflow across multiple concurrent requests without losing quality or governance discipline.
  • Familiarity with product feed structures, schema markup, and how on-site UI decisions affect downstream technical channels: enough to collaborate credibly with Infrastructure and SEO/GEO partners.
  • Experience working with or managing external design/dev agency partners.

Preferred Experience
  • Direct experience with luxury or fine jewelry e-commerce, or another considered-purchase vertical.
  • Exposure to design-your-own (DYO) or configurator-style shopping paths.
  • Familiarity with GA4 or similar analytics platforms for interpreting on-site behavioral data to inform design priorities.
