Information Technology Project Manager (Data Management / Palantir)

Location: Arlington, VA (Crystal City)

Schedule: Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite per week

Compensation:
  • Salary: $120,000 - $165,000

Overview

Seeking an experienced Information Technology Project Manager to lead federal IT initiatives supporting a large government customer. This role is responsible for managing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and compliance requirements. The Project Manager will partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, technical teams, and executive stakeholders while utilizing Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
Responsibilities
  • Lead IT projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocations, and deliverables.
  • Apply Agile and Hybrid project management methodologies to meet program objectives.
  • Manage scope, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and change requests.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical teams to prioritize work and manage Jira backlogs and workflows.
  • Deliver executive-level briefings, project status updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, development, quality assurance, and business teams.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, SDLC, ITSM, Systems Lifecycle Management (SLM), and security compliance requirements.
  • Support projects involving SaaS, PaaS, cloud technologies, data platforms, and analytics solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement, quality delivery, and issue resolution across project teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing federal IT projects.
  • Experience leading Agile and Hybrid technology projects.
  • Strong experience with SDLC, ITSM, SaaS, PaaS, and enterprise cloud environments.
  • Advanced Jira experience, including backlog management, sprint planning, workflow optimization, and executive reporting.
  • Experience utilizing Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams for collaboration and documentation.
  • Experience functioning as a Scrum Master, facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and supporting delivery teams.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with governance and compliance processes, including ATO, ATT, ITSR, and SLM.
