We're seeking a talented Truck Sales Representative to join the Transwest Team!

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Sell new and used heavy duty trucks in a dedicated territory. This will include inside and outside sales calls on customers in your assigned territory.
  • Assist customers in selecting/ordering trucks and components which best suit their business needs.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the sale of heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Actively find new and existing prospects outside of the dealership.
  • Provide follow-up and ongoing service to existing customers.
  • Provide excellent service to walk-in and call-in customers on assigned floor days.
  • Deliver new trucks and be able to explain new-truck warranty and service policies.
  • Study truck and equipment specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application on a continuous basis.
  • Appraise used trucks as needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Abilities:
  • Activities require a full range of motion including; handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • This position may require standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • This position requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
  • This position requires the occasional ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • This position requires the ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours.

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and MVR in good standing.
