Overview:
Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Surgical ICU to work a 14-week assignment!

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

  • $70.00/hr pay rate
  • Temporary Full Time

Unit Description:
  • 20 Bed Unit
  • Nurses handle 1-2 patients on this unit based on acuity level.
  • Nurses provide service to any patients that have undergone open heart surgeries such as CABG, Valve repair or replacement, aneurysm repair, TAVR, ablations, Heart Transplantation, and Mechanical Circulatory Support devices including the Total Artificial Heart and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), and various lung surgeries.
  • Nurses manage critically ill patients that require intensive hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, multiple drug infusions, IABP therapy and CRRT.


Education:
  • Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required


Certification/Licensure:
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ACLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale


Experience:
  • Must have at least two years of Cardiac ICU recent hospital experience to work as a Traveler.
