This position reports to:Logistics Operations & Strategy Leader
The
Transportation Systems Support Leader will be primarily focused on the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the transportation management systems for the ELIP business. Additionally, this role will include partnership with a cross functional group of similar business support leads, and training for all transportation related users. This includes, but is not limited to SAP TM, Project44, GTS, and Internal Systems.
The transportation landscape of this business is fast paced with constantly changing demands and requires on-going attention to internal and external customer requirements, and real-time communication of service issues with shippers and receivers.
The position requires making decisions which determine impact cost and service and will support internal stakeholders' efforts to continuously improve transport and logistics operations.
Due to the global scope of this role and to service the needs of our customers, our ideal candidate will need to accommodate non-US working hours/time and/or travel regionally and internationally up to 10%. This position is open to remote candidates working within the US. #LI-Remote
Main Accountabilities:- Act as the first line of support for end and local superusers / Systems Level 1 ops support. Provide technical support to end users by identifying and management resolution of system data maintenance and troubleshooting hardware and network related issues. Support or lead the maintenance of audit trails and documentation for future audits and reviews
- Conduct initial trainings, as well as all subsequent and follow up trainings on an on-going basis. Facilitate the implementation and support of the TMS as well as related systems.
- Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document ABB's requirements. Design, customize, configuration, and testing of the TMS. Act as liaison with ABB ELIP business, internal IT teams, and Third-Party support teams for troubleshooting, investigation, analyses, and problem solving. Work with internal IT teams, and Third-Party support teams on emergency SAP transports as needed for high priority issues. Document functional designs, test cases and results.
- Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements. Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required. Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members. Design, build, and maintain routing guides within the TMS with special focus on the dedicated fleet service offering. Translate transportation network design into functional system settings/configurations.
Qualifications for the role:- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering Technologies, or Supply Chain (or significant relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analyst/Transportation System Support/IT Systems support including knowledge of domestic and international shipping rules and regulations and local transport market knowledge including equipment, rail/sea/airport operations
- Experience/ familiarity using Transportation Management systems and SAP. Ability to translate customer and business needs into the TMS(s) configurations.
- Superior analytical skills and ability to manage large quantities of data and drive innovation through analytics.
- Change Management in a change averse environment with ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal customers.
- Mastery of Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Candidates must already possess authorization to work for ABB in the US.
Preferred Qualifications: - In depth Transportation Service Provider/Carrier operating model knowledge
- Experience in working with advanced SAP TM
- Experience in working with advanced Source ERP platforms (SAP)
- Experience in Process Mapping as a part of continuous improvement
- Knowledge of (DOT) Department of Transportation rules and regulations
- Proficiency in French or Spanish a benefit.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $100,500 and $160,800 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
