Job Description

One I-Trade Lane Managers are responsible for coordinating the day-to-day planning and operations, while also driving operational excellence to deliver service, cost/cash, and compliance on the lanes assigned to him/her. He/she will act as the business owner to anticipate/resolve issues and make structural interventions to deliver sustainable results.

Important Responsibilities:
  • Monitor KPI (Key Performance Indicators) deliverables and provide root cause analysis to improve performance (service - OTD, cost - D&D reduction and Air Freight reduction, VFR/sustainability, compliance, etc...)
  • Oversee the end-to-end cross border operation for assigned lanes by setting clear direction for the 3PL's/4PL's (3rd and 4th party logistics).
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with planners, plants, distribution centers, 4PL, regional BPX (Business Process Expert), KU (Key User), Purchasing, SPS (Supply Planning Service Center), receiving regions, and sending regions.
  • Delegate tasks to the appropriate area of the business.
  • Manage the performance and operational relationship of all parties for I-Trade lanes (e.g., 3PL's/4PL's, carriers, etc.).
  • Support GBU (Global Business Unit) initiatives and sourcing change efforts by determining best lane option and successful start-up of new lanes.
  • Proactively engage the BUs (Business Units)/Regions to ensure that operational cost decisions are clearly understood.
  • Attend DDS (Daily Direction Setting) with 4PL's and key stakeholders as needed.
  • Ensure milestone timeliness and accuracy issues are being addressed timely with the 4PL's/3PL's/Sites.


Job Qualifications

Required
  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Operations Management, Other Business Administrative or Engineering Degree or (other related degree and/or work-related experience).
  • 2 years of experience in transportation operations


Skills/Experience for the role:
  • While not required, candidates who are fluent in both English and Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Leadership - Ability to lead, influence, and work effectively with all levels in the organization.
  • Communication - Can effectively communicate written and verbally. Strong Microsoft Office skills is a critical requirement (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Operate with Discipline - Ability to execute against masterplan that delivers exceptional results.
  • Capacity / Priority Setting - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
  • Grows Capability - Shows coaching and development of others.
  • Strategic Thinking - Skilled in strategic thinking and possess the ability to build plans that deliver both short term and long-term goals.
  • Be an advocate for Global and Regional I-Trade standards
  • Able to facilitate the proper execution of the lane creation process, carrier performance reviews, and 3PL/4PL action plans
  • Understands and is able to direct carriers on proper execution of P&G processes that align with our Global and Regional I-Trade standards
  • Able to properly inform the carrier base of the standards of each supply chain that they own and ensure that the standards are in line with the Global and Regional I-Trade standards so that there are no gaps in compliance
  • Able to identify gaps in lane data management and determine the proper solution
  • Able to identify when the lane data is not matching the proper design of the lane per the instruction that they receive from the category
