Full Job Description
Transportation Engineer
We are seeking a Transportation Engineer in the Rapid City, South Dakota area for one of our prominent clients. In this role you will support transportation infrastructure projects including roadway design, highway improvements, traffic analysis, and construction-related engineering services. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects from concept through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop roadway and transportation improvement projects.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with public agencies, clients, and internal project teams.
  • Assist with project management, scheduling, and client communications.
  • Support transportation planning, traffic studies, and permitting efforts.

Ideal Background
  • Civil Engineering degree.
  • Transportation or roadway engineering experience.
  • EIT required or working towards PE licensure; PE preferred for higher-level roles.
  • Experience with transportation design software and DOT projects is highly valued.
