Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare plans, specifications, and quantities under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Lead a team of engineers and drafters
  • Develop horizontal and vertical geometry
  • Create roadway corridor models
  • Prepare project reports
  • Interact and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other agencies
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals and contracts
  • Participate in quality control/quality assurance


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE license required (or able to obtain within 12 months of hire)
  • 5 -10 years of progressive experience in transportation design.
  • Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) or Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) design engineering practices, standards, and documentation
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Ability to collaborate with the design team, project manager, clients, and agencies
  • Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • U.S. Residency
