POSITON SUMMARY:

This position oversees track data collection, defect reporting, and the operation and scheduling of Track Geometry Cars and ultrasonic rail testing. The incumbent will analyze track defects, prepare reports and corrective recommendations, maintain defect databases, ensure quality control, and manage invoice submissions to the BSC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate accurate data collection and suspect defect reporting for NYCT's Track Geometry Cars and Ultrasonic Rail Flaw Testing across all mainline tracks.
• Oversee scheduling, coverage, and accurate testing of all mainline tracks under the direction of the Senior Director of Automated Track Inspections.
• Perform detailed, accurate, and comprehensive analysis of track geometry defects and complete monthly reporting for the Automated Track Geometry group.
• Prepare detailed reports of conditions found and recommend corrective actions for defects identified in the field or through TGC video inspections.
• Maintain and update track geometry and Ultrasonic Rail Flaw defect databases, ensuring overall quality control of all associated testing and reporting.
• Submit invoices to the BSC for processing and payment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:

1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration.

Associate Transit Management Analyst:

1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one (1) year of full-time satisfactory professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.

DESIRED SKILLS:

Final salary is determined experience, skillset, and alignment with compensation practices. The posted range reflects expected compensation and may be updated as market or business needs evolve.
