POSITION SUMMARY

The Training Supervisor position reports to the Operations Manager on site. He/she is responsible for the coordination and delivery of training courses that are required by DSV and the client. The programs would include but are not limited to quality control, work measurement, manufacturing methods, safety, and work instructions.

To assist in the development of solutions that meet clients' expectations. To develop and conduct competency training that is role-specific in the areas of systems, P&L management, and leadership development and to provide ongoing support to employees in these areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Orientation of new team members and re-fresher training on site and corporate policies.
  • Stays abreast of industry and corporate best practices
  • Monitor, measure, and report KPIs for staff training and development plans
  • Facilitate shift training on safety, operations, quality, standard and procedural updates.
  • Facilitate safety training and team member awareness of regulatory requirements including general awareness and function specific hazardous material handling
  • Implement OJT training programs, as required, to improve site or corporate performance and compliance
  • Conduct and supervise training and development programs for employees
  • Plan and deliver OJT training courses and programs necessary to meet training needs while keeping in consultation with department heads
  • Establish and maintain training metric and database.
  • Design training courses and programs necessary to meet training needs
  • Perform Hazmat training for all required team members in coordination with site management
  • Arrange for the maintenance of all necessary equipment and materials relating to the effective delivery and measurement of training
  • Plan, develop and implement strategy for staff training and development,
  • Train, certify and recertify team members on material handling equipment.
  • Maintain and issue all certification cards, ID badges, and Safety card to team members
  • Work closely with the management team and the operations department to help ensure that the business/operational needs are being met
  • Evaluate all team members' skill levels to identify outages, and retrain all team members on any updates
  • Ensure all staffing changes are accurately reflected in the database and in the training files.
  • Create and maintain documents for orientation and safety
  • Ensure all information is communicated to the site manager.

OTHER DUTIES (Site Specific)
  • May be expected to cross train in other leadership functions to support the site and contribute to team member development.
  • Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 2 years' experience working in warehousing and/or logistics
  • 6 months training experience
  • Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Language Skills
  • English (reading, writing, verbal)


Other
  • Effective communication skills (all modes) requiring the ability to communicate to various levels of management to entry level team members
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Have experience in developing and implementing training programs.
  • Knowledge of inventory management procedures and warehousing terminology and best practices.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Completes work with limited degree of supervision.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree in business or related field
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish (reading, writing, verbal)

For this position, the expected base pay range is $88,280 - $108,000 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
