Role Description

The Training Manager is responsible for leadingand managing the training and development function at Comlux America, ensuringemployees receive the technical, regulatory, safety, quality, and operationaltraining required to perform their roles effectively and in compliance withapplicable requirements. This position develops and maintains training programssupporting aircraft completions, maintenance, engineering, production, safety,quality, and other business functions.

The Training Manager oversees the development anddelivery of instructor-led, hands-on, and e-learning programs; maintains thecompany's Learning Management System (LMS) and training records; ensurestraining content remains current and compliant with applicable regulatory andcompany requirements; and evaluates training effectiveness to continuouslyimprove employee capability and performance. The position partners closely withdepartment leaders, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and Human Resources to identifytraining needs and develop programs that support employee development,operational excellence, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Job Functions
• Lead the development, implementation, andadministration of Comlux America's training and development programs supportingaircraft completions, maintenance, engineering, production, safety, quality,and support functions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive trainingcurricula, including course materials, presentations, instructor guides,handouts, assessments, agendas, syllabi, practical exercises, and supportingdocumentation.
• Design and deliver technical, regulatory,safety, quality, and company-specific training programs using instructor-led,hands-on, multimedia, and e-learning methodologies.
• Partner with department managers and subjectmatter experts to identify training needs based on business requirements,regulatory requirements, employee performance, process changes, new equipment,new aircraft programs, and organizational priorities.
• Develop and maintain training requirementsand curricula for employees based on position, department, regulatoryrequirements, and job responsibilities.
• Ensure training content remains current andaccurately reflects applicable FAA, EASA, Part 145, AS9100/9110, manufacturer,company, and customer requirements, as applicable.
• Remain current with Federal AviationRegulations (FARs), EASA requirements, and other regulatory requirementsapplicable to Comlux operations and ensure relevant changes are incorporatedinto training programs.
• Maintain the Comlux Learning ManagementSystem (LMS), including employee training records, course assignments,completion status, qualifications, recurring training requirements, andtraining documentation.
• Monitor training compliance and proactivelyidentify overdue, expiring, or incomplete training requirements, partneringwith department leadership to ensure timely completion.
• Establish and maintain an effective trainingrecords and documentation system that provides accurate and readily accessibleevidence of employee qualification and training compliance.
• Develop and implement Train-the-Trainerprograms to expand internal training capabilities and ensure consistency intraining delivery.
• Coach, mentor, and support trainers andsubject matter experts in effective instructional techniques, course delivery,assessment methods, and adult learning principles.
• Evaluate training effectiveness throughassessments, employee feedback, performance data, observations, and otherappropriate measures, and implement improvements as needed.
• Maintain training metrics and preparereports for leadership regarding training completion, compliance,effectiveness, participation, and other key performance indicators.
• Support internal, FAA, EASA, customer, andthird-party audits by ensuring training programs, records, qualifications, anddocumentation are accurate, current, and readily available.
• Collaborate with Quality and Safety toensure training programs support Repair Station requirements, quality systemrequirements, safety objectives, corrective actions, and continuous improvementinitiatives.
• Consult applicable aircraft manufacturertechnical data, engineering documentation, company procedures, and othertechnical resources when developing or updating training content.
• Develop and support e-learning and digitaltraining solutions to improve accessibility, consistency, and scalability ofemployee training.
• Incorporate innovative trainingmethodologies, technology, and adult learning techniques to improve knowledgeretention, employee engagement, and training effectiveness.
• Coordinate training schedules and resourcesto minimize disruption to production and operational activities while ensuringrequired training is completed on schedule.
• Maintain training calendars and coordinatetraining activities across multiple departments, shifts, and locations asrequired.
• Partner with Human Resources on employeedevelopment, onboarding, career development, leadership development, and otherorganizational training initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve trainingprocesses, systems, and methodologies to increase efficiency, reduceadministrative burden, and strengthen employee capability.
• Establish and maintain strong relationshipswith internal and external training providers, instructors, vendors, andsubject matter experts as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Education andExperience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources,Education, Organizational Development, Aviation, Business Administration, or arelated field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevantexperience may be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experiencein aviation training, technical training, organizational development, or arelated training environment.
• Prior experience developing andadministering training programs within an airline, aerospace, MRO, Part 145Repair Station, manufacturing, or other regulated environment stronglypreferred.
• Demonstrated experience developing technicaland regulatory training programs and instructional materials.
• Experience administering a LearningManagement System (LMS) and maintaining employee training records.
• Experience with Train-the-Trainer programs,instructional design, and adult learning methodologies.
• Working knowledge of FAA Part 145requirements and aviation maintenance training requirements.
• Familiarity with EASA Part 145, AS9100/9110,and other aviation regulatory requirements preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, andunderstand the English language.

Required Skills and Abilities
• Strong instructional design and curriculumdevelopment skills with the ability to translate technical and regulatoryrequirements into effective training.
• Strong knowledge of adult learningprinciples, instructional methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to lead traininginitiatives and influence employees and leaders across multiple departments.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skillswith the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of theorganization.
• Excellent written and verbal communicationskills.
• Strong organizational and project managementskills with the ability to manage multiple training programs, deadlines, andpriorities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability todevelop and interpret training metrics and identify opportunities forimprovement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Officeapplications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systemsand training administration platforms; experience with Centrik or similaraviation training systems preferred.
• Experience utilizing multimedia, e-learning,and other technology-enabled training tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment tomaintaining accurate training records and regulatory compliance.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-makingskills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced,highly regulated operational environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships andcollaborate effectively with Quality, Safety, Engineering, Production,Operations, and Human Resources.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality,regulatory compliance, employee development, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment
• This position is primarily based in anoffice environment and may require occasional time in an aircraft hangar orproduction environment. The role may involve:
• Ability to operate effectively in afast-paced, high-demand aviation environment.
• Extended periods working at a computer
• Walking between office, hangar, andproduction areas as needed
• Interaction with cross-functional teams inoffice, shop-floor, and meeting settings
