Role Description

The Methods Engineer is responsible fordeveloping, documenting, and continuously improving the manufacturing methods,work instructions, tooling strategies, and production processes used to supportVIP aircraft completions, modifications, and maintenance activities. This roleserves as the bridge between Engineering and Production by translatingengineering designs into efficient, standardized, and repeatable manufacturingprocesses that support safety, quality, schedule performance, and costobjectives.

Working closely with Engineering, Production,Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Continuous Improvement, the MethodsEngineer develops manufacturing routings, production documentation, laborstandards, and process improvements that optimize workflow while ensuringcompliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and customer requirements.

Essential Job Functions
• Develop, document, and maintainmanufacturing methods, work instructions, routings, and process documentationsupporting aircraft completions and modification programs.
• Translate engineering drawings,specifications, and design changes into efficient manufacturing processes forproduction teams.
• Develop manufacturing sequences that improveproductivity while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Create and maintain Bills of Process (BOP),manufacturing routings, labor standards, and work instructions.
• Evaluate manufacturing methods and identifyopportunities to reduce production lead time, labor hours, waste, and rework.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure newproduct designs are manufacturable, serviceable, and support efficient aircraftinstallation.
• Partner with Planning and Production toimprove workflow, material flow, and production sequencing.
• Develop tooling concepts, fixtures,templates, and manufacturing aids that improve quality, repeatability, andtechnician efficiency.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI)activities by developing production methods prior to aircraft arrival.
• Analyze production issues and developpermanent corrective actions that improve manufacturing consistency.
• Participate in root cause investigationsinvolving quality escapes, production delays, or manufacturing discrepancies.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiativesutilizing Lean Manufacturing principles, standard work, visual management, andprocess optimization techniques.
• Develop and maintain standard laborestimates and support estimating activities for new customer proposals whenrequired.
• Review engineering changes and determineproduction impact, labor requirements, tooling needs, and implementationstrategy.
• Ensure manufacturing documentation complieswith FAA regulations, Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM), Internal OperatingProcedures (IOPs), and company quality standards.
• Provide technical support to ProductionSupervisors, Leads, and technicians during aircraft completion activities.
• Support implementation of ERP, MES, anddigital manufacturing initiatives.
• Prepare reports, process documentation,manufacturing standards, and presentations for operational leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Education andExperience
• Bachelor's Degree in ManufacturingEngineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, AerospaceEngineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education anddirectly related manufacturing experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturingengineering, industrial engineering, methods engineering, or productionengineering experience.
• Experience supporting aerospace, aviation,automotive, defense, or other complex manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience developing manufacturingprocesses, routings, work instructions, or standard work documentation.
• Experience supporting production operationsin a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturingprinciples and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to read, interpret, and applyengineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, andunderstand the English language.

Required Skills and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods,process engineering, and production operations.
• Experience developing work instructions,manufacturing routings, Bills of Process (BOP), and standard operatingprocedures.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma,and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of production planning,workflow optimization, and capacity planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skillswith the ability to identify process improvements.
• Experience conducting time studies, laboranalysis, and productivity assessments.
• Knowledge of tooling design, manufacturingfixtures, and production support equipment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively acrossEngineering, Planning, Production, Procurement, and Quality organizations.
• Excellent organizational and projectmanagement skills.
• Strong written and verbal communicationskills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Officeapplications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, or manufacturingexecution systems (MES) preferred.
• Knowledge of FAA Part 145, Part 25, AS9100,or aerospace manufacturing standards preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities whilemaintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality,operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
