The Technical Training Center (TTC) Training Systems and Standards is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented leader to support daily training operations, facilities management, and proctoring services. This position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities across training facilities, managing proctor scheduling and coverage, and supporting customer service functions to ensure a high-quality training experience.
The selected candidate will provide operational leadership for training logistics and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with Laboratory training standards, policies, and compliance requirements. This role partners closely with training organizations and stakeholders to deliver reliable, efficient, and customer-focused training services. Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Technical Training Center (TTC), ensuring facilities, classrooms, and equipment are prepared to support training and testing activities.

Training & Scheduling: Coordinate room scheduling, proctor coverage, training logistics, and operational support to ensure efficient and effective training delivery.

Leadership & Customer Service: Provide direction and support to staff responsible for facilities, proctoring, and front-line customer service while ensuring a positive experience for instructors, participants, and stakeholders.
Performance & Continuous Improvement: Monitor operational performance, track key metrics, identify process improvements, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with Laboratory policies, DOE requirements, and Integrated Safety Management principles while promoting a safe, secure, and professional work environment.


What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:

Operations Experience: Experience coordinating operations, scheduling, facilities, logistics, or training activities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate team activities, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Customer Service & Communication: Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to resolve issues and build positive working relationships.
Technical & Organizational Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems (e.g., UTrain or similar), with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Problem Solving & Compliance: Ability to analyze operational data, implement established procedures, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with database querying, SharePoint, or data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with DOE or other federal training environments.
  • Understanding of instructional design principles or training development workflows.

Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; and/or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in the White Rock Training Center in White Rock, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

Position Commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

Additional Details

Directive 206.2: Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2 . Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.

*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.

Regular Position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
