Overview

THE ROLE 

 

The Position: The Trailer Review Manager is responsible for leading and standardizing the Trailer Review function across all manufacturing facilities. This role provides oversight and direction to Trailer Review personnel located at plant locations while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in the review and setup of trailer product structures within the ERP system. In addition to managing the Trailer Review team, this position is responsible for driving process improvements and leading initiatives focused on automation and automated error checking within the trailer review process. The Trailer Review Manager partners with manufacturing, engineering, IT, and supply chain teams to ensure bill of materials structures and product data are accurate, standardized, and optimized to support operational execution.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Provide leadership and functional oversight for Trailer Reviewers located across multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring consistent processes, quality standards, and performance expectations.
  • Manage and standardize the Trailer Review process across plants, ensuring accurate setup and maintenance of trailer product structures and Bills of Materials (BOM) within the ERP system.
  • Lead initiatives focused on improving efficiency and accuracy within the Trailer Review function, including the development and implementation of automated error checking and other automation tools.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and IT teams to ensure product structures, item master data, and system configurations align with operational and production requirements.
  • Coordinate workload and priorities across the Trailer Review team and manage contract labor resources supporting Trailer Review activities when required.
  • Identify process gaps, data integrity risks, and opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that strengthen system accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary corporate point of contact for Trailer Review processes and provide guidance and support to plant leadership and teams regarding ERP product structure and BOM-related issues.
  • Monitor performance, accuracy, and process compliance across facilities, ensuring appropriate quality standards are maintained throughout the Trailer Review function.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS) 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Manufacturing, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, ERP management, supply chain, or engineering support functions.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of ERP systems (JDE preferred) and product structure management.
  • Knowledge of Bill of Materials structures, manufacturing processes, and supply chain systems.
  • Ability to analyze complex product data and identify inconsistencies or errors.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to manage employees located at multiple facilities.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, IT, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and other data analysis tools.
  • Travel: Up to 25%
