CSG Talent is partnering with a respected and growing transportation engineering consulting firm to identify a Traffic Design Team Lead for its Orlando office. This position presents an exceptional opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer to assume a leadership role within a growing transportation practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading traffic design and analysis projects, overseeing technical delivery, mentoring engineering staff, and supporting the continued growth of the firm's presence in Central Florida. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in traffic engineering and design, a commitment to quality and safety, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction for the Traffic Design Team in Orlando. Manage and oversee the execution of traffic engineering and traffic design projects from inception through completion. Direct and support traffic analyses in accordance with industry best practices, including Vision Zero principles and the Safe System Approach. Oversee the preparation of signing and pavement marking plans, traffic signal plans, and related design documents in compliance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards and requirements. Conduct field reviews, site investigations, and engineering assessments as required. Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure technical excellence and compliance with applicable standards. Coordinate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, project stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams. Provide mentorship, training, and professional development support to junior engineers and technical staff. Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, client engagement, and strategic growth activities. Assist with recruitment efforts and contribute to the continued development of a high-performing engineering team. Promote a culture of collaboration, safety, professional excellence, and employee engagement. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida. Minimum of five (5) years of post-licensure engineering experience within transportation or traffic engineering. Demonstrated knowledge of FDOT design standards, manuals, policies, and traffic engineering guidelines. Proficiency with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer (ORD). Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proven ability to lead projects, mentor staff, and manage client relationships. Commitment to delivering safe, innovative, and high-quality engineering solutions. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with municipal, county, or state transportation agencies. Previous leadership, supervisory, or project management experience. Established relationships within the Central Florida transportation market.
