DescriptionThe Trade Spend Sr. Manager leads the governance, optimization, and performance management of trade spend programs, including rebates, chargebacks, broker commissions, and customer deductions related to performance. This role owns trade spend strategy execution, ensures financial accuracy and compliance, and partners with Sales, Finance, and Revenue Management to improve profitability and transparency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Own trade spend governance across rebates, chargebacks, broker commissions, and performance related deductions
- Lead analysis and control of trade spend performance, accruals, and financial exposure
- Partner with Sales, Pricing, and Finance to structure and evaluate customer agreements
- Ensure timely and accurate processing and resolution of chargebacks and claims
- Identify root causes of trade spend leakage and implement corrective actions
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to trade spend effectiveness and compliance
- Lead system enhancements, process improvements, and reporting standardization
- Manage and develop team of a Customer Compliance and Deductions Manager, and two Chargeback Specialists
- Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations on trade spend performance
- Support audit readiness and adherence to internal controls and policies
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Deep knowledge of trade spend, rebates, chargebacks, broker commissions, and performance related deductions
- Strong financial, analytical, and commercial acumen
- Experience managing complex, high-dollar financial processes
- Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and develop teams
- Ability to influence cross-functionally without direct authority
- Proficiency with ERP, pricing, and trade management systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail combined with strategic thinking

Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Experience: Typically 8-12 years of experience in trade spend, revenue management, pricing, or sales operations.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing trade spend complexity, and driving process improvements
