POSITION SUMMARY

The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing programs that bring the Still Austin brand to life across distributors, retailers, on-premise accounts, and field events. This role serves as the bridge between Sales and Marketing, ensuring our sales teams have the tools, assets, displays, and programming they need to win in-market.

This individual will own trade marketing strategy and execution, manage agency relationships, coordinate vendor partners, and develop impactful sales support materials while ensuring brand consistency across every customer touchpoint.

The ideal candidate has experience within the spirits or broader beverage alcohol industry, understands distributor and supplier relationships, and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

SUCCESS PROFILE

To be successful in this role, the Trade Marketing Manager will:

  • Drive commercial growth by developing and executing trade marketing programs that increase brand visibility, strengthen distributor and retailer partnerships, and support sales performance across on- and off-premise channels.
  • Deliver exceptional sales enablement by ensuring the Sales team has timely, accurate, and compelling trade tools, displays, point-of-sale materials, and marketing assets that effectively tell the Still Austin story.
  • Lead cross-functional execution by partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and external agencies and vendors to bring trade initiatives to life on time, on budget, and with operational excellence.
  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships by cultivating trusted relationships with distributors, retailers, agency partners, and vendors that enhance Still Austin's market presence and create long-term business value.
  • Own execution with accountability by managing multiple priorities, anticipating challenges, and delivering high-quality work with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Trade Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute trade marketing programs that strengthen Still Austin's presence across distributor, retail, and on-premise channels.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to create marketing initiatives that drive brand visibility, customer engagement, and commercial growth.
  • Lead the development of seasonal trade programs, customer promotions, and market activation strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives and recommend improvements to maximize impact and return on investment.

Sales Enablement

  • Develop and maintain sales tools including one sheets, technical sheets, product photography, presentations, digital assets, and trade marketing collateral.
  • Ensure sales teams, distributors, and agency partners have timely access to accurate, compelling, and brand-compliant marketing materials.
  • Support retailer and distributor requests by providing artwork, product specifications, displays, and customized marketing assets.

Distributor, Retail & Field Marketing Support

  • Coordinate tasting agency communications, reporting, and ongoing program execution.
  • Support field marketing events, trade shows, distributor meetings, customer activations, and other commercial initiatives.
  • Manage point-of-sale materials, display programs, branded giveaways, and promotional merchandise that support customer engagement.
  • Maintain the trade marketing asset library and proactively update materials to support new product launches and sales initiatives.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, printers, promotional vendors, and other external partners.
  • Coordinate vendor timelines, production schedules, pricing, and delivery to ensure successful execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Hospitality to successfully launch new products and execute integrated campaigns.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while proactively identifying and resolving obstacles.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in trade marketing, brand marketing, customer marketing, sales enablement, or a related commercial marketing role.
  • Experience developing and executing trade marketing programs within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting sales organizations through point-of-sale materials, promotional programs, retail marketing, and customer-facing assets.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, competing priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience managing external vendors, agencies, and production partners from planning through execution.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or marketing asset management platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the distilled spirits, wine, beer, or broader beverage alcohol industry.
  • Working knowledge of the three-tier distribution system and distributor management.
  • Experience supporting national or regional sales organizations.
  • Familiarity with retail merchandising, shopper marketing, or on-premise activation strategies.
  • Experience managing trade shows, sampling programs, experiential marketing, or field marketing initiatives.
  • Passion for premium spirits, hospitality, and building authentic consumer brands.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires the ability to:

  • Sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, move, and transport marketing materials, product samples, promotional items, and displays weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Travel by automobile and commercial airline to support sales meetings, distributor visits, trade shows, and customer events.
  • Move throughout office, warehouse, retail, hospitality, and event environments as needed.
  • Occasionally work evenings and weekends to support customer events, trade shows, product launches, and company initiatives.
  • Use standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, and presentation technology.
