Overview

The Senior Manager, Collector and Icon Wine Growth will drive statewide growth of the company's Luxury, Icon, and Collector wine portfolio ($50+, $100+, and highly limited availability wines) through strategic retail point-of-distribution (POD) expansion, account-tailored limited offerings, presell and new item launch management, category resets, and high NSV retail activation opportunities. Operating at a senior level with significant autonomy, this role collaboratively builds and executes a strategic plan for company fine wine growth with direct accountability for revenue and distribution ROI. Success in this role requires sophisticated relationship-building with retailers who have the capacity for high NSV wine sales, along with the ability to design and execute bespoke consumer activations - including sampling events, dinners, and educational experiences - that engage high-net-worth consumers and collectors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively build and execute an annual statewide growth strategy for the Collector and Icon wine segments, in partnership with the VP of Wine Portfolio Management
  • Own direct accountability for ROI on assigned house-funded and supplier-funded budgets
  • Set and track KPIs for revenue growth and distribution growth across the Luxury ($50+), Icon ($100+), and Highly Limited Availability segments
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with retail accounts across the state that have the capacity for high NSV wine sales
  • Lead point-of-distribution (POD) expansion initiatives specific to the Collector and Icon wine portfolio
  • Develop account-tailored limited offerings; manage presell and new item launch execution across the retail base
  • Lead category resets in key accounts to optimize shelf placement, visibility, and assortment for Icon and Collector segment wines
  • Identify and execute high NSV retail activation opportunities in partnership with account decision-makers
  • Design and execute bespoke consumer activations - including sampling events, curated dinners, and educational experiences - that engage high-net-worth consumers and collectors
  • Build and maintain relationships with trade and supplier partners connected to the Icon and Collector portfolio
  • Manage house-funded and supplier-funded budgets in alignment with plan and approval guidelines
  • Provide regular reporting to the VP of Wine Portfolio Management on progress against revenue and distribution KPIs


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (e.g., B.A., B.S., B.B.A.)
  • Proven track record of ROI based portfolio management within the wine or spirits industry, including experience managing luxury or ultra premium price segments
  • Demonstrated success building and executing statewide or multi account growth strategies
  • Experience managing supplier funded and house funded budgets
  • Experience engaging and building relationships with high net worth clientele
  • Advanced negotiation and financial acumen, including budget and P&L management
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable growth plans
  • Polished presentation and relationship building skills
  • Proficiency with PCs, iPads, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM and reporting tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Must be able to obtain a Solicitor's Permit and Transit Insignia
  • WSET Level 2 or higher preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience


Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $120,000, depending on qualifications such as experience, education, and skillset.
