Position Description:

CGI Federal Inc. seeks a Trade Compliance Lead with significant experience in trade regulations, compliance, and licensing within the federal government contract sector. The Trade Compliance Lead will report to CGI Federal's Vice President - Legal Compliance and will implement CGI Federal's trade compliance program, serving as the primary point of contact for all trade compliance matters for CGI Federal and its various wholly owned subsidiaries.

This position is located in Fairfax, VA.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Trade Compliance Lead will lead the day to day management of the Trade Compliance Department to ensure adherence to trade compliance policies, procedures, and best practices and manage export authorizations in accordance with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As the functional lead of the Trade Compliance Department, the Trade Compliance lead will be responsible for all aspects of trade compliance including: applying for export licensing; ensuring certification of exemptions/exceptions; classifying products and programs for export classification; filing documents with Customs; ensuring OFAC compliance; conducting restricted party screening; developing annual training and policies and procedures; implementing an internal monitoring/audit program; and providing guidance to programs.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

The successful candidate should have a Bachelors' degree or equivalent work experience and 7-10 years of export licensing and compliance experience at a federal government contractor. Additionally, the successful candidate must have experience with encryption software classification, applying for licenses, filing documents with Customs, knowledge of both the ITAR and the EAR, as well as OFAC regulations. Working knowledge of Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) requirements, personal protective equipment exports, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) is a plus. The successful candidate also must have: (1) a demonstrated ability to integrate with and support business operations; (2) the ability to multitask and work across functional lines; and (3) must be a U.S. citizen, have excellent references, and the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,800.00 $245,500.00.
