Responsibilities

  • Perform primary and revision total joint arthroplasty (hip and knee) using evidence-based techniques
  • Evaluate and manage patients with degenerative joint disease and related conditions
  • Deliver comprehensive perioperative care to optimize outcomes and patient experience
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across anesthesia, nursing, rehab, and care coordination
  • Participate in shared 1 in 6 call coverage and inpatient rounding
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
  • Engage in quality improvement and outcomes tracking initiatives
  • Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the orthopedic service line
  • Build strong relationships with referring providers and the broader medical community

Position Summary

Build a High-Impact Practice in a Physician-Led Environment

Animas Orthopedics in Durango, Colorado is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Total Joint Surgeon to join our established, multi-specialty orthopedic group.

This is a high-opportunity role for a surgeon who wants to grow a robust total joint practice, contribute to a collaborative care model, and help shape orthopedic services in a growing community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform primary and revision total joint arthroplasty (hip and knee) using evidence-based techniques
  • Evaluate and manage patients with degenerative joint disease and related conditions
