Full Job Description
We9re seeking a Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon to join our growing practice and help build and lead our adult reconstruction service line.
Genesis is a full-spectrum musculoskeletal practice with 16 clinics across Chicagoland, providing orthopedic care, surgery, physical therapy, and related services. Unlike many practices where surgeons spend years developing a referral base, Genesis already has an established population of hip and knee patients who have been evaluated and are ready for surgical care.
The surgeon joining this program can expect an established case volume of approximately 300-400 cases per year from day one, with significant opportunity to grow the service line.
Requirements Required
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Licensed in Illinois or eligible for Illinois licensure
Demonstrated experience performing primary total hip and knee arthroplasty
Preferred
Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Hip & Knee
Experience with revision and complex arthroplasty
Interest in developing a comprehensive total joint service line
Interest in value-based care and outcomes measurement
The Qualities That Matter
Builder9s mindset You9re interested in more than maintaining an established surgical schedule. You want to build referral relationships, improve workflows, develop teams, and help create a high-performing joint replacement program.
Commitment to outcomes You care deeply about pain relief, function, patient satisfaction, and measurable clinical outcomes. You track your results and continuously look for ways to improve them.
Data-driven approach You recognize the opportunity to deliver excellent outcomes while improving efficiency and reducing unnecessary costs. You9re interested in the role of arthroplasty in value-based care, including episodes, bundles, and cost-per-case.
Patient-first philosophy Our patients come from every socioeconomic background. We believe every patient deserves the same level of clinical expertise, attention, and respect.
Interest in ownership Genesis offers a genuine pathway toward physician partnership and equity for physicians interested in building something for the long term.
