Title:TXO (Texas Operations) Maintenance and Turnaround Director
Location: Freeport, TX

Schedule: 9/80, 4-10s or 5-8s
Relocation Available

As a key member of the TXO Leadership Team, the Maintenance and Turnaround Director will have leadership accountability for all maintenance and turnaround functions at the Freeport, TX facility.

This role will focus on leading the maintenance and turnaround organizations in the development and implementation of a comprehensive, multi-year approach to optimizing predictive maintenance and productivity. The Director will be accountable for achieving the site's maintenance and turnaround objectives through effective leadership, applying sound management principles, and ensuring effective teamwork.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Contributes to a strong EH&S culture and safe work environment by reinforcing Olin's safety expectations, meets all EH&S objectives, and complies with all governmental laws and policies for Texas Operations plants
  • Promotes unity across the organization around a shared operational vision and strategy to increase overall efficiency and improve performance
  • Leads talent planning and workforce development of maintenance and turnaround organizations
  • Develops and executes a robust site-level reliability strategy aimed at enhancing production capabilities while ensuring the safe and cost-effective execution of all maintenance activities-whether planned, preventative, predictive, or extraordinary
  • Develops and maintains spare equipment and parts strategy
  • Maximizes the effectiveness of work processes for both daily maintenance and planned outages/turnarounds providing solutions that reduce costs related to labor, overtime, parts, contractors, and operational expenses
  • Oversees development of maintenance metric dashboard
  • Develops a cost management structure with actionable improvement opportunities
  • Evaluates suppliers/contractors for optimal budget use. Collaborates with Procurement to implement effective contracting strategies and optimizes contractor workforce for cost and efficiency
  • Upholds Olin's integrity and ethics across the department and contractors
  • Partners with operations to ensure effective planning and execution of long-term maintenance outages/turnarounds

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree*; Engineering or another technical field strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the chemical manufacturing industry, leading maintenance programs and managing direct reports
  • Proven ability to successfully lead a large integrated manufacturing site maintenance organization, with a focus on continuous improvement for people and processes
  • In-depth knowledge/experience of total preventive/predictive maintenance, plant reliability infrastructures and strategies, project management (up to $1 Billion), and operation/process efficiency
  • Expertise in cost reduction, strategic planning, and developing viable solutions for chronic and complex maintenance and process problems
  • Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), specifically the safe management of design changes at a plant, PHAs and Mechanical Integrity programs
  • Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local environmental and workplace standards as they apply to operating areas, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US. Driver's license
