Title: Rotating Equipment Technology Lead
Location: Houston, TX
Additional locations may include Plaquemine, LA; St. Gabriel, LA; Freeport, TX; Lake Jackson, TX

Salary: $140,000 - $175,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote
Relocation Available

The Rotating Equipment Technology Lead plays a critical role in supporting Olin's business objectives by overseeing and improving reliability and maintenance performance of rotating equipment across the organization. Performance improvement efforts will focus on eliminating unplanned production interruption events and eliminating process safety events/risks. This position will provide technical consulting support to operations, maintenance/reliability, and technology/improvement departments for all critical turbo-machinery trains throughout the organization.

What You'll Do
  • Provide technical leadership for critical rotating equipment maintenance, reliability, and capital projects.
  • Develop maintenance scopes and ensure proper execution for all critical rotating equipment repairs and overhauls.
  • Provide rotating equipment technical expertise to support production and reliability improvement initiatives, including machinery performance analysis, condition monitoring, optimization, and online troubleshooting of rotating equipment systems.
  • Work across the rotating equipment network to provide technical support and direction necessary to maintain safe and reliable operation of critical rotating equipment.
  • Create, train, and reinforce mechanical maintenance procedures based on best practice and engineering standard guidance.
  • Participate in capital and expense project design reviews and provide technical guidance on engineering and standards application, selection, design, procurement, and testing of new machinery systems and upgrade of existing machinery systems.


Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in rotating equipment technology.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing rotating equipment asset integrity and reliability programs, achieving measurable improvements in operational performance.
  • Must have strong mechanical capabilities combined with technical understanding of design and maintenance of rotating equipment systems.
  • Proficiency in reliability fundamentals such as PM/PdM, RCA, FMEA, SIC, Maintenance Work Process, and effective mechanical integrity systems that support asset life cycle management.
  • Technical knowledge of the various types of rotating equipment (e.g., centrifugal compressors, blowers, reciprocating compressors, pumps, liquid ring vacuum pumps/compressors) in a chemical manufacturing site.
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects. Strong leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 40%.
  • Must possess a valid US driver's license and be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
