HX5 is currently seeking a Senior Test & Evaluation Specialist to join our WPS team at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Serve as the liaison between the WPS team and the Navy.
- Provide knowledge and experience in weapon planning systems and subsystems with emphasis on Navy applications; specifically, F/A-18 operations and mission planning.
- Analyze weapon and user requirements for derived subsystem requirements associated with navigation and guidance systems.
- Provide T&E technical and engineering support by documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing.
- Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks.
- Develop new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness.
- Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification).
Education and Experience: - Associate's degree and twenty (20) years of professional experience; OR Bachelor's degree and fifteen (15) years of professional experience
Preferences- Current or former pilot preferred (F-18 / Hornet ideal)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:- This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:- Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance by date of hire.
- Must be able to travel as necessary.
