Full Job Description
What You Will Do:

As a Test Engineer Level 2 at Independent Software, you will support and execute system test and evaluation (T&E) activities for mission-critical programs. You will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and conducting test events, as well as collecting and analyzing performance data to support system validation and decision-making.

You will apply test methodologies, statistical analysis, and modeling and simulation techniques to evaluate system performance. In this role, you will work more independently and contribute to test planning, execution, and reporting efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the planning and execution of test and evaluation (T&E) activities
  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and evaluation strategies
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret performance data to support system assessments
  • Apply statistical analysis methods to evaluate system performance and confidence levels
  • Support Modeling and Simulation activities for test and evaluation purposes
  • Analyze performance risks and contribute to test planning and decision-making
  • Coordinate and participate in test events, including readiness and execution activities
  • Develop evaluation plans, reports, and supporting documentation
  • Support configuration and data management for test activities
  • Assist in developing data collection strategies and analysis frameworks
  • Participate in working groups and coordinate with stakeholders across teams
  • Provide recommendations based on test results and analysis

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting test and evaluation (T&E) activities and methodologies
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data for system evaluation
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and performance evaluation methods
  • Familiarity with Modeling and Simulation concepts
  • Ability to develop and follow test plans, procedures, and documentation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Test Engineer or in a related field on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
OR
  • Four (4) additional years of test or related experience may be substituted for a degree

Clearance Requirement:
  • Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
