Test Engineer CTSC
Summary
Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an experienced Integration and Test Engineer. This role is responsible for planning, developing, and executing all aspects of system and subsystem testing, including First Article and Production Acceptance Tests. The Test Engineer will create and execute test plans and procedures, support test readiness activities, troubleshoot failures, and ensure program deliverables meet requirements. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
• Lead all test engineering activities, including requirements review, test plan and procedure development, TRRs, test execution, and test reporting.
• Coordinate, schedule, and execute assigned program test events and document results.
• Work with Systems, Software, and Hardware Engineering to define test requirements and resolve integration or performance issues.
• Apply requirements-based Verification & Validation (V&V) methodologies throughout the product lifecycle.
• Interface with customers, partners, and end users to clarify test needs and acceptance criteria.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve complex test or integration issues.
• Develop and maintain engineering test requirements, specifications, and configuration baselines.
• Identify required test equipment, tooling, and instrumentation for subsystem and system-level testing.
• Stay current on relevant tools, technologies, and test methodologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of test engineering experience in a multisystem or subsystem integration environment.
• Experience with advanced test methodologies, tools, and instrumentation.
• Experience integrating networked instruments (power and data).
• Basic understanding of networking and equipment troubleshooting.
• Strong background in requirementsbased V&V testing.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams to define tasks, solve problems, and meet program goals.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and analytical problemsolving skills.
• Detailoriented with strong followthrough and organizational abilities.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Alternate path: HS Diploma with 7+ years of system testing experience may be considered.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Work may be performed in indoor, outdoor, or field environments, including hot, cold, or inclement conditions.
• Regularly required to stand, sit, bend, kneel, use hands, talk, hear, and see; must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds during the workday.
• PPE such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety footwear may be required.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
