two TAB Foremen to join our growing Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) team:
- One TAB Foreman dedicated to our Healthcare Division
- One TAB Foreman dedicated to our New Construction Division
As a
TAB Foreman, you'll lead dedicated TAB projects from planning through execution while overseeing a team of TAB technicians. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality results, maintaining project budgets and schedules, ensuring safety, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
This role requires a strong technical foundation, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring others. You'll play a key role in developing technicians, solving complex HVAC system challenges, and ensuring every project meets MacDonald-Miller's quality standards.

- Establish a positive project culture built on teamwork, accountability, safety, and clear communication.
- Plan daily work activities, coordinate schedules, assign resources, and optimize technician productivity.
- Perform advanced testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC systems, including airflow measurements, pressure testing, temperature verification, and system performance analysis.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot HVAC system performance, and implement field adjustments to ensure systems meet design specifications and code requirements.
- Demonstrate expertise across critical TAB certifications, including:
- TABB Supervisor
- Smoke Control Supervisor
- IAQ Supervisor
- Sound & Vibration Supervisor
- Fume Hood Certification
- Clean Room Certification
- Partner closely with Project Managers and Lead Foremen to communicate manpower needs, scheduling impacts, project risks, and productivity updates.
- Support Lead Journeymen through coaching, technical troubleshooting, and ongoing training and development.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Physical Requirements & Working ConditionsThis position requires working in a variety of construction and occupied building environments.
- Lift and carry testing equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Perform precise manual work using specialized TAB instruments and testing equipment.
- Safely work from ladders, lifts, rooftops, and elevated work areas.
- Stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and move throughout active construction sites for extended periods.
- Read gauges, interpret testing data, and communicate effectively in both mechanical rooms and occupied spaces.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, noise levels, and environmental conditions.
- Consistently demonstrate and promote safe work practices while complying with all company and jobsite safety requirements.
Your Background: What Will Help You Thrive- Current or ability to obtain NEBB Certified Professional (CP) certification within one year of hire.
- Extensive experience testing, adjusting, and balancing commercial HVAC systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system operation, controls, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Experience leading field teams on complex commercial or healthcare projects.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
