What We Are Looking For

This position is responsible for the oversight and management of delivery terminal(s) and associated facilities of Kinder Morgan Southeast Terminals. Ensuring safe, efficient, and economical operation and general maintenance of the terminals and may have responsibilities for pipeline and associated right of way.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinates and manages the performance of Terminal Operators and Technicians (if applicable) to safely and efficiently operate and maintain the Terminals and any associated facilities.
  • Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of regulatory and company operating requirements and coordinates activities with regulatory agencies, other company departments, the public, customers/carriers and local emergency response agencies.
  • Acts as Incident Commander and Qualified Individual for any emergency responses and as leader of the Emergency Response Team, coordinates emergency response activities in conjunction with the Operations Manager, and activates and coordinates the Crisis Support Team if necessary.
  • Coordinates, prepares and/or maintains various reports, records, diagrams and other documents concerning maintenance and operations issues, safety, regulatory compliance, and employee administrative issues.
  • Functions as local customer contact for Business Development.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable L O&M procedures at the facilities.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, EPA, OSHA, State Environmental Protection Divisions, and Local Fire Departments.
  • Administers local and company Facility Security Plans including security assessments and risk aversion.
  • Understands the role of inventory management and coordinates all terminal operations that influence product quality assurance, product measurement.
  • Stewards operating expenses and monitors associated operating expense and capital budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need

Education:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent

Required Qualifications:

Experience / Specific Knowledge:
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience with and knowledge and understanding of procedures involved in operating and maintaining liquid terminal facilities, including knowledge of regulatory requirements and the AC2 and / or TopTech rack automation system, or be able to quickly become familiar with the truck rack automation systems.

Certifications, licenses, registrations:
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Company Insurance Carrier

Competencies, skills, and abilities:
  • Effectively communicate in English, both orally (face to face and by telephone) and in writing, with coworkers, contractors, government officials and Senior Management
  • Read and understand written material (in English), including use and understanding of basic numerical calculations.
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to handle a variety of matters simultaneously
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation
  • Ability to accept direction and supervision and work effectively and cooperatively with people

Physical demands:
  • Climb tank stairs, manually open and close valves, occasionally moving or lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Walk on paved, gravel or other surfaces.
  • Manipulate and use hand tools in performance of various tasks.
  • See / visual ability to perform various administrative and field operator tasks.

Pay Range

USD $113,700.00 - USD $136,500.00 /Yr.
