The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration team in a role where strategy, collaboration, and commercial insight come together to support critical power infrastructure projects. As a Tendering Manager, you will transform customer requirements into competitive, high-quality proposals that help customers advance grid reliability, performance, and modernization initiatives. Working closely with sales, engineering, operations, customers, and suppliers, you will coordinate technical and commercial inputs, develop pricing strategies, assess risks, and manage tender activities from opportunity evaluation through submission. This role offers exposure to Power Quality Solutions, Grid Connect Solutions, data center opportunities, and high-voltage infrastructure projects. You will play an important part in delivering customer-focused solutions while strengthening tendering excellence through continuous improvement. How you'll make an impact

  • Review tender documents to understand customer requirements and scope
  • Prepare accurate, competitive quotations using cost analysis and benchmarks
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather technical and commercial inputs
  • Manage tender timelines to ensure high-quality, on-time submissions
  • Analyze bid opportunities and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions
  • Identify and assess risks in bids, contracts, and estimates plus present risk reviews
  • Maintain clear, compliant documentation and perform quality checks
  • Engage with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements and support a positive experience

Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical is preferable.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • 7+ years of experience in tender/bidding/sales position.
  • Experience in Power Quality Solutions / FACTS solutions (STATCOM, SVC, Synchronous Condensers) or HV Substations for Grid Connect Solutions & Data Center (including BESS).
  • Proven ability to work in a process orientated, disciplined, and structured with a high commitment to results.
  • Proactive in establishing effective relationships and engaging with various team members.
  • Oriented to a leadership role since will lead multi discipline team to interface with all internal company areas and external partners.
  • Ability to travel 10-15%.
