Full Job Description
Parraid is seeking an experienced Telemetry Systems Integration Engineer to plan, design, develop, test, and deploy complex systems, ensuring that disparate hardware and software components work together seamlessly to meet company and client requirements and technical specifications. Key responsibilities include analyzing user needs, creating integration plans, creating batch files and/or scripts as needed, collaborating with developers and other team members, managing projects, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance and performance standards are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand user needs and business objectives to design appropriate system integrations.
  • Create detailed plans, architectures, and solutions for integrating new and existing systems.
  • Create high-quality batch files and configuration scripts to integrate hardware and software components.
  • Implement and execute tests to verify functionality, identify integration issues, and resolve them.
  • Work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, production technicians, and business line managers to ensure alignment.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure all integrations adhere to industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive log of all systems capability / performance tests.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for integrated systems and provide technical support and training to other staff.

  • Production Support
    • Systems Integration on all production products including Building and Debugging.
  • Customer Service Support
    • Provide Applications Engineering Support, which includes Onsite customer troubleshooting when necessary.
    • Review and provide support for all hardware service calls.
    • Support return merchandise (RMA) system solutions and repairs.
    • Provide debugging support for Printed Circuit Board assemblies to the component level of legacy hardware (e.g., S3000, IMUX, etc.).
  • Systems Engineering Support
    • Research and Qualify Microsoft Windows software for product lines.
    • Configure/setup OEM with Microsoft to be licensed for resale.
    • Create and maintain Parraid specific controlled OBEE images for production systems.
    • Create assembly instructions for Software level products.
    • Setup and configure equipment and lab spaces for R&D efforts.
    • Manage ISP agreements for lab networks in accordance with the level of required usage.
    • Perform acceptance testing on first time products to verify operation for system specifications. (Once qualified would move to Production for integration of products.)
    • Support 3rd party certification testing as needed.
  • Sales and Marketing Support
    • Creating demonstration solutions for proof of concept.
    • Building and verifying demo units for Sales.
    • Configuring loaner systems for customers.
    • Tracking all demo and loaner systems out of house.
    • Support in-person Trade Shows (ITC) for systems and customer question support.
    • Provide support for marketing product photos as new systems emerge into Production.
    • Creating/building training systems in support of customer training sessions. This includes Laptops for in-person training or Amazon Workspaces for virtual training.
    • Provide clear instructions to Field Engineers for on-site upgrade, build, and / or repair.
  • Software and Hardware Engineering Support
    • Managing assets for software and hardware testing.
    • Creating and updating (6 months) system images for all products and all operating system (OS) platforms.
    • Create testing platforms for software and hardware testing.
    • Help conduct acceptance test procedures (ATP) on software product releases as needed.
  • Business Line Support
    • Assist Business Line Managers with quoting upgrades and new customer systems as needed.
    • Assist Business Line Managers with Proposals and Compliance Matrix development.
    • Assist Business Line Managers with System and Hardware product roadmap development.
    • Assist with Product Pricing including updating labor estimates, vendor quotes, engineering part numbers, BOM components, and managing component obsolescence as needed.
    • Solution Architecting - Research, Evaluate, and Test new systems supporting evolving customer requirements and R&D efforts.


Skills:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Expertise in software, hardware, network connections, databases (SQL), APIs, and various data formats.
  • Proficiency with integration platforms, middleware, and potentially specific technologies.
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical failures and develop effective solutions.

  • Ability to demonstrate and present products to clients and solicit their feedback to understand customer needs.
  • Capable of delivering on multiple, competing priorities with little supervision.
  • Proficient with, and able to provide instruction of, the installation, operation, and employment of Parraid Telemetry Data Systems products is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with underlying mechanical and electrical principles, including installation and wiring techniques, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of relevant telemetry standards and concepts.

  • $105,000 - $135,000
