Technology Lead - Projects
This position manages our national IT projects, building a high-performance team to provide internal customer satisfaction through partnership with the Technology team and all U.S. Engineering companies.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Serves as the Project Manager to deliver timely, high quality solutions with a customer service focus to U.S. Engineering team members that work in offices, production facilities, and remote jobsites.
  • Serve as the project manager on IT projects initiated by the Network, Infrastructure and/or Cybersecurity teams. Examples include: Microsoft Windows updates, network changes, VPN updates.
  • Leads jobsite setup process - works closely with internal and external resources such as Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Copier/Plotter vendors.
  • Manages all Technology vendor relationships.
  • Oversees procurement and asset management.
  • Oversees all mobile devices for the company.
  • Manages all Copier and Plotter needs, including working with jobsite personnel, contracts, logistics, working with internal AP/AR teams for billing, and vendor relationships.
  • Runs weekly IT project meetings with leads.
  • Listen to internal clients to identify and assess project needs.
  • Listen to internal customers' needs to help determine scope, schedule, and budget related to technology project requests and assign appropriate resources to deliver solution. Examples include jobsite setups, A/V, access control, security cameras, etc.
  • Build strong relationships within the organization to promote modernization in our industry and help internal clients grow with technology.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or Communications related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, technology strategy, or process improvement.
  • Strong communication, organization, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience in the construction or service management industries highly desirable.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Well versed in personal and business technologies including hardware and software, including SaaS software platforms, Android & iOS phones, ipads, copiers, routers, etc.
  • Ability to generate positive, effective Customer (internal) experiences.
  • Ability to acquire a mastery-level proficiency with U.S. Engineering's IT product offerings, business model, services, emerging technologies and trusted advisor best practices.
  • Familiarity with IT vendors including, hardware, software, ISPs, Copiers and Plotters.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with others in various environments including the professional office environment, construction jobsite environments and manufacturing environments, including working directly on the manufacturing floor.
  • Proactive and driver self-starter with strong organizational, time management, and follow up skills.

Physical and/or travel demands:
  • This is an active position that will be performed in a typical office setting, sitting at a desk, conference table, or standing in Manufacturing facilities and Construction job sites. Frequent use of computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone. Some standing, bending, and lifting is required.
  • Anticipated airline travel with overnight stays expected to be quarterly or as needed. Vehicle travel among regional locations anticipated to be similar. U.S. Engineering locations:
    • Core Office Buildings: Kansas City, Westminster CO
    • Branch Offices: Springfield MO, Manhattan KS, Wichita KS, Loveland CO, Colorado Springs CO
    • Manufacturing Facilities: Lawrence KS, Johnstown, CO
    • Jobsite locations: Varies Nationally

Benefits and Compensation:
  • The range for this position has been established at $90K to $127K annually and is U.S. Engineering's good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. Compensation for this role includes a base salary complemented by commission opportunities based on the Account Manager's individual sales performance and attainment of sales targets
  • Your total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck. Team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as paid time off.
