Technology Intern - NashvilleRole Description: We are seeking a Technology Intern to join our team, where you'll help build the software tools that power CoStar Group's proprietary platform. These tools support our sales and research teams across leading real estate marketplaces, including Homes.com, CoStar.com, Apartments.com, and LoopNet.com.
CoStar Group's technology internship program provides hands-on experience with enterprise-level projects. Interns work alongside full-time engineers, contributing to meaningful business initiatives and gaining exposure to core software engineering principles. Each intern is paired with a dedicated mentor to support technical development, career growth, and day-to-day learning throughout the program.
This position is located in
Nashville, TN and offers a schedule of Monday to Thursday in office and the option to work from home on Friday.
Technologies We Use: At CoStar Group, our technology teams use a wide range of tools and technologies to build products that support our real estate marketplaces and internal business systems. Depending on the team and project, interns may gain exposure to technologies such as TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue,js, Java, C#, .NET, SQL, Python, Kotlin, Swift, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and emerging AI tools, although some teams may vary.
Interns may also have the opportunity to learn about AI-related areas such as machine learning, large language models, natural language processing, computer vision, AI APIs, prompt engineering, and model evaluation.
You do not need experience with every technology listed to apply. We are looking for students who are curious, adaptable, and excited to learn new tools while applying strong software engineering fundamentals.
Basic Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable major. Must be planning to return to school following the completion of the Summer 2027 internship.
- Must have an expected graduation date of December 2027 - June 2028
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Available to participate in the full 10-week summer internship program and commit to a 40-hour work week throughout the internship.
- Coursework, project, internship, or work experience applying programming languages, software engineering fundamentals, databases, cloud concepts, frameworks, or other technical tools to build or improve software used by the team (or similar/comparable technology)
Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to write understandable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Interest in learning new technologies and building high-quality software.
- Demonstrated initiative through academic, internship, project, or extracurricular experiences.
- Experience collaborating on academic, internship, project, or team-based work.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and the Software Development Lifecycle
- Understanding of web services, APIs, or application design concepts, such as REST or GraphQL.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, data science, or emerging technology concepts through coursework, projects, internships, or personal learning.
- Experience building or contributing to technical projects, such as capstone projects, personal applications, research, open-source contributions, or class-based software projects.

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role will fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
Base Compensation: $40 - $45 (Hourly)
