MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented
Senior IT Consultant (Zero Trust) to join our team. This is a fully
remote position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Architect Zero Trust Environments: Design, implement, and mature enterprise Zero Trust frameworks that align with federal guidelines, such as NIST Special Publication 800-207 and the DoD Zero Trust Strategy. Ensure continuous verification is enforced across all pillars, including User, Device, Network, Application/Workload, and Data.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of cybersecurity risk management frameworks, ensuring strict enterprise adherence to the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53 controls, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) standards.
- Use Case Development: Lead the engineering and development of complex Use Cases to evaluate, test, and integrate a multitude of emerging identity, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust technologies.
- Drive Technical Strategy: Perform elaborate, high-level technical analyses, architecture reviews, and feasibility studies to modernize legacy infrastructure into compliant, identity-centric security models.
- Executive Communication: Prepare comprehensive reports, compliance documentation, and deliver executive-level presentations to government stakeholders, auditors, and mission partners.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide highly technical, specialized guidance and architect scalable solutions to complex, enterprise-wide IT, compliance, and cybersecurity challenges.
Minimum Qualifications:- 8+ years of relevant work experience in IT consulting, cybersecurity architecture, or compliance engineering.
- Security+ Certification
- Deep Zero Trust Expertise: Proven experience implementing continuous authentication, least-privilege access, Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM), and micro-segmentation.
- Leadership & Organization: Strong organizational and leadership skills; proven ability to drive initiatives independently and lead cross-functional technical teams.
- Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues across multiple domains (project managers, technical leaders, government officials, and auditors).
- Strategic Articulation: Capable of translating and explaining complex compliance requirements, security practices, and procedures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:- Prior experience with DISA and DISA's support to mission partners, particularly involving DoD IT modernization and STIG compliance.
- Hands-on experience implementing the DoD Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and navigating the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Advanced industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISC2 CGRC/CAP, or specialized Zero Trust/Compliance credentials).
Clearance Requirements:- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance prior to starting this position.
Physical Requirements:- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $105,900.00-$177,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
