Job Summary
The Technology Consultant - Cloud & Full Stack Engineer will develop and modernize enterprise applications across hybrid cloud, AWS, and Azure environments, with strong expertise in Java full-stack development, Apache Spark, cloud migration, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). The role will focus on building secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions while supporting cloud modernization, production reliability, security vulnerability remediation, and automation initiatives. The engineer will collaborate closely with application, cloud, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams throughout the software development and delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern UI technologies.
• Support application and infrastructure modernization across hybrid-cloud, Azure, and AWS environments.
• Contribute to cloud migration initiatives, including transitioning workloads from Azure to AWS.
• Develop and support data-processing solutions using Apache Spark.
• Design and integrate REST APIs and microservices with enterprise applications and data platforms.
• Support production applications following SRE principles, with a focus on availability, reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Identify, assess, and remediate application and infrastructure security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerability findings and security compliance requirements.
• Implement automation for deployments, monitoring, operational activities, and vulnerability remediation.
• Troubleshoot complex application, cloud, and production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, release activities, and Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and improve application deployment processes.
Required Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and enterprise application development.
• 4+ years of experience working with AWS/Azure and hybrid-cloud environments.
• 3+ years of experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processing.
• 3+ years of experience in SRE, production reliability, vulnerability management, and application security remediation.
• Strong understanding of secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing enterprise application development.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience migrating applications and workloads from Azure to AWS.
• Experience with Angular, React, or other modern front-end technologies.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and security tools such as Snyk, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Qualys, or Veracode.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, encryption, and security best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and enterprise production environments.
