Job Summary

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support and administer the agency's Microsoft Power Platform environment, with a primary focus on platform administration, reliability, governance, and optimization. This role is more heavily focused on hands-on administration than traditional software engineering, while still requiring an engineering mindset and the ability to identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, governance improvements, and platform optimization. The SRE will partner closely with the technical lead to expand Power Platform capabilities and support high-priority AI initiatives across the agency. The role will also provide administration and technical support for Microsoft technologies including Windows, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer, configure, govern, troubleshoot, and optimize Microsoft Power Platform environments.
• Perform day-to-day platform administration and ensure reliable operation of Power Platform services.
• Monitor platform health, reliability, performance, and availability and proactively identify potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Power Platform environments.
• Establish and maintain platform governance, administration, security, and operational standards.
• Partner with the technical lead to expand Power Platform capabilities across the agency.
• Support high-priority AI initiatives and help identify opportunities to leverage Power Platform and AI technologies.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements across platform administration and operations.
• Bring an engineering mindset to platform administration by improving reliability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Support production environments and participate in troubleshooting, incident resolution, and ongoing platform optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams on the design and implementation of new platform capabilities and solutions.
• Support Microsoft enterprise technologies including Windows, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
• Perform configuration, maintenance, and operational activities for Microsoft enterprise environments.
• Develop and maintain documentation, operational procedures, and governance standards.
• Promote platform adoption by helping teams understand and effectively use available Power Platform capabilities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements related to automation, AI, governance, and platform reliability.

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience administering, configuring, governing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Microsoft Power Platform environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform administration and governance.
• Strong experience supporting Windows environments.
• Strong experience with Active Directory.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and related Microsoft enterprise technologies.
• Experience supporting production environments and maintaining platform reliability and performance.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving them through resolution.
• Experience with platform engineering or Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Ability to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and operational improvement.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams on new technical solutions, including AI initiatives.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting AI initiatives within Microsoft or Power Platform environments.
• Experience developing automation for platform administration and operational processes.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks and standards for enterprise platforms.
