The Information Technology office is accepting applications for a Technology Analyst to join their Data Center Operations unit. Under general direction and supervision, this position is responsible for providing statewide telecommunication system design, configuration, administration, support and troubleshooting in support of the organization's VoIP phone system, next generation telephony solutions, and the underlying network infrastructure that supports these systems. This position is also responsible for serving as the day-to-day project manager and technical advisor to the JC, Supreme Court and Appellate Courts with collaboration needs including the technical support and troubleshooting of live broadcasts of various committee meetings, Judicial Council meetings, and court oral arguments. This position interfaces with Judicial Council staff, Appellate and Supreme court system administrators, vendors, communications participants (including judicial officers), and serves as an escalation point for issues not able to be resolved by Service Desk staff.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the day-to-day project manager and technical advisor to the JC, Supreme Court, and Appellate Courts for telecommunication and collaboration services. Provide detailed and intricate system design to critical customer specifications. Provides post installation technical support and troubleshooting, and serves as technical point of contact with vendors, other JC divisions, and users for the preparation of, and during live broadcasts of various committee meetings, Judicial Council meetings, and court oral arguments. Serve as project manager for installation, configuration, and maintenance of all telephony systems for the JC Courts.
• Provides communications and voice services, plans, designs, configures, maintains and implements assigned technology; collaborates with project team for rollout; prepares communication and documentation.
• Responsible for gathering technical requirements to replace ageing or broken equipment as needed. Responsible for maintenance and operations of all courtroom telephony and video systems used to ensure timely conferencing services in support of daily operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, information systems, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience maintaining infrastructure, including knowledge of servers, hardware, operating systems, enterprise mail and directory services, and/or network operating systems, network hardware, telecommunications, and security.
An additional four (4) years of professional experience as noted above may substitute for the bachelor's degree. Or, additional directly related experience and/or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
OR
Three (3) years as a Computer Support Specialist in the assigned field, or two (2) years as an Associate Analyst in the assigned field, with the Judicial Council of California, or three (3) years of experience performing the duties of a class comparable in the level of responsibility to that of a Computer Support Specialist, or two (2) years as an Associate Analyst in the assigned field, in a California superior court or California state-level government entity.

Pay and Benefits
$7,513 - $11,270 per month
Please note due to statewide fiscal conditions, the posted salary range is subject to a temporary 3% reduction. In exchange for this reduction, judicial branch employees accrue an additional 5 hours of paid personal leave per month through June 30, 2027.
