Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day

As a technician manager, you work alongside three other managers to oversee a team of 150 technicians. During outage season, your primary responsibilities include scheduling and dispatching technicians to various jobs. Once the technicians are on-site, you follow up with them to ensure everything is progressing smoothly. Additionally, you coordinate with the project manager (PM) at the job site to confirm that the outage is on schedule, allowing you to plan the technicians' next assignments accordingly. In the off-season, your focus shifts to maintaining the technicians' certifications, organizing any necessary training and having performance reviews with your direct reports. Following this, you concentrate on recruiting and onboarding new technicians.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Working with the districts to plan for the upcoming outage season. Making sure you have the right skills needed to mee the demand.
  • Working with Technicians to educate and train them to reach their career goals.
  • Working with the Training Department to schedule the training needed.
  • Assist the Training Department in recruiting events.
  • Interviewing candidates and making offers.
  • Scheduling Technicians to outages and keeping them up to date with the changing outage season.

What You Bring
  • Minimum of a (2) Year Associates Degree.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience managing people or have demonstrated the ability to manage people.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
