Job SummaryAs a Technical Writer, Quality Assurance and Accreditation with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:- Support Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) in meeting and sustaining compliance with external assurance and accreditation programs, including Accreditation Canada and other regulatory or certification bodies.
- Work and partner with organizational, clinical and quality leadership, this role is responsible for the development, coordination, and standardization of documentation required across the organization's quality assurance programs.
- Ensure that evidence, procedures, and supporting materials are clear, accurate, and aligned with external standards, while supporting a shift toward continuous quality improvement and ongoing readiness for accreditation activities.

QualificationsEducation & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field, supplemented with five or more years of experience in technical writing, preferably in healthcare, quality, or regulatory environments or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience supporting accreditation, certification, or regulatory compliance initiatives (e.g., Accreditation Canada) is preferred.
- Experience working in complex health systems or large organizations is an asset.
Knowledge & Abilities- Strong writing, editing, and document design skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret, synthesize and translate complex clinical and operational information and standards into clear and actionable documentation.
- Knowledge of healthcare quality frameworks, accreditation standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key internal and external partners to promote and enhance services provided with sensitivity to diversity and indigenous lens.
- Practices the recognition, inclusion and support of all types and aspects of diversity at all stages of engagement, with an understanding of the issues faced by people from equity-deserving groups.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret standards and translate them into action.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to accuracy, consistency and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, evolving accreditation environment.
- Proficiency with document management systems and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
