Work Type: Remote, but near a major HUB (Broomfield, CO; Tucson, AZ; Garland, TX; Elko, NV)Responsibilities:- Lead technical support, parts, and training functions for Epiroc capital equipment and aftermarket services to ensure consistent support delivery, customer satisfaction, and alignment with Epiroc standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain technical training programs aligned with global standards to improve operational performance across internal teams, service centers, dealers, and customers.
- Support the growth and development of technical personnel through structured employee lifecycle activities, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning aligned with Epiroc USA's culture and business objectives.
- Strengthen frontline technician capability by promoting structured problem-solving, technical development, and increased self-sufficiency in technical support execution.
- Ensure technical support processes, documentation, and deliverables comply with Epiroc standards, published documentation, and operational best practices.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration and support handoffs to improve responsiveness, accountability, and operational efficiency.
- Track and manage key operational metrics, including warranty recovery, work in progress (WIP), and service variance to ensure target performance is achieved.
- Capture and communicate product performance feedback to global divisions and management through approved reporting systems to support continuous improvement and operational performance initiatives.
Knowledge/Education:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Mining, or related field) preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of five years of experience in mining, heavy equipment, or related industries.
- Valid driver's license with willingness to travel domestically, with occasional international travel as required.
Skills and Abilities:- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and delegate technical teams with an emphasis on technical oversight, coaching, development, and operational performance.
- Strong mechanical and technical expertise in fluid power systems, equipment control and navigation systems, low-voltage electrical controls, diesel engines, and rotary screw compressors.
- Ability to analyze technical issues, document findings, and communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency with business systems and tools, including Microsoft Office and relevant technical, reporting, or documentation platforms.
